Wanzek Construction Announces New Executive Vice President

Wanzek Construction, a leading contractor and services provider in renewable energy, has named Rob Lee executive vice president. The announcement was made by Earl Collins, president of MasTec's Power and Industrial Business Unit.

In addition to renewable energy construction and services, the West Fargo, N.D. based company works with power, oil & gas; infrastructure; agriculture and industrial services, as well as crane services.

Lee, a native of Mayville, N.D., joined Wanzek in 2005. A graduate of North Dakota State University in construction management, he most recently served as vice president of construction in Wanzek's renewable energy group.

Wind projects make up the largest portion of the 47-year-old firm's portfolio. Of the upcoming season, Lee says, "We have great expectations for growing our operating groups in solar and renewable services, while maintaining our market share in wind. With new construction booming and end-of-life efforts beginning for first-generation wind farm equipment, the prospects for expanding Wanzek's renewable services division, in particular, are bright."
