SunPower by Stellar Solar, San Diego's oldest SunPower dealer and one of two Master Dealers in San Diego County, has released the fourth episode of their popular YouTube series Solar Cribs. It features the story of the Harris family in Encinitas, California. The Harris's - parents Gregory and Liliana and their children Sunshine and Daniel, had already implemented several sustainable living practices in their home. Daniel takes his efforts even further as part of his school's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). They agreed as a family that going solar would not only contribute significantly to their overall efforts, it saves the family money that would otherwise be paid to the utility.

Gregory Harris, who made the final decision to go with SunPower by Stellar Solar, owns and operates Local Computer Pros, a San Diego based IT consulting firm. Besides the environmental and financial benefits of going solar, he was excited about the system monitoring technology that was included with his SunPower system. "I'm a techie at heart and the SunPower monitoring that shows what my system is producing is very cool.  I can keep track of total production, usage, and estimated savings from anywhere. I check it several times a day and show off the results to my friends and clients."  Son Daniel, a 6th grade student at El Camino Creek Elementary in Encinitas and whose involvement with SWPPP has started him on an early path to walking the talk when it comes to a sustainable lifestyle, had this to say about going solar. "Since I work with SWPPP, I was excited about my family going solar. It's cool to think that the sun is producing more than enough electricity to power our home. My friends think it's pretty cool too."
