Tracy E. Kelley, formerly Chief Technical Officer of Sion Power Corporation, Tucson, Ariz., was named Chief Executive Officer of the corporation at a recent meeting of the Board of Directors in New York.

Privately held Sion Power Corporation is the global leader in the development of a new generation of high-energy, rechargeable Licerion ® batteries for UAV, military, portable power and electric vehicle markets. Licerion ® is Sion Power's trademark for its brands of lithium metal-based batteries.

Kelley replaces Dennis R. Mangino, Ph.D., who had served as CEO since 2006. Mangino will continue in a senior advisory role and remain on the board.
