SunWize Prepared to Tackle Off-Grid Power Challenges

To those following the energy industry, it's clear that many changes are underway. Electric Vehicles (EVs), interconnected devices (IoT), shale & natural gas development, energy storage, solar & wind energy - these are just some of the topics that are causing waves in energy & infrastructure markets.

With solar hitting all-time low costs and increasingly being used to power electric grids worldwide, focus for innovation is turning to energy storage. The commercialization of electric vehicles and smart homes, and increasingly pervasive consumer & industrial electronics all require novel distributed renewable energy technologies to power an ever interconnected and digital world.

SunWize Power & Battery finds itself squarely in the center of this power revolution, deploying years' of experience to usher in a new age of power autonomy. Every brand has stories to tell-the SunWize brand has a great story. SunWize started in 1994 in Kingston, NY. Through the 1990s, SunWize developed solar power technologies and manufactured off-grid power systems. In the late 1990s, at the advent of grid connected solar in the United States, the SunWize leadership team grew SunWize into one of the largest tier 1 distributors of solar power equipment in the United States.

During this period SunWize continued building off-grid power systems and added business segments in residential, commercial, and utility solar system sales and construction; and residential and commercial solar system finance. David Eveland merged his former solar industry business into SunWize Technologies, Inc in 2009 and led the commercial solar project sales for SunWize Technologies until 2014. During this time SunWize Technologies constructed commercial solar projects ranging in size from 50 kW to 11 MW; building some of the largest solar carport projects, and developing a project on the Indy Motor Speedway property that feeds the utility, IPL.

In early 2014, SunWize Technologies exited the grid-tied solar distribution business, and in May of 2014 David Eveland started a separate business, SunWize Power & Battery, LLC to acquire SunWize Technologies, Inc assets related to the business of off-grid remote autonomous power systems and energy storage, in order to build upon the foundation that started in 1994. Since then, SunWize Power & Battery has manufactured and distributed autonomous power system parts and turnkey off-grid power systems for a wide range of global fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and governments around the world. SunWize Power & Battery has continued to serve the off-grid sector without interruption.
