GES Reaches 12 GW Wind Power Capacity Constructed

Construction division of Global Energy Services (GES) has completed eight new wind farms during 2016, this makes a total of 563 megawatts. The projects were located in Polonia, Grecia, Chile and Mexico. GES was also responsible for part of the electrical works of a huge wind farm in Egypt.

Despite the complicated situation of the Company at the end of the year, due to the slowdown of the renewable sector in two of the company's main markets, Mexico and Chile, GES finished the ongoing projects and face 2017 with optimism. GES Management said, "This year will be key to relaunch our activity. Our sales team is working hard to return to the recovery path, after some sensitive moments we had in 2016."

GES is a global market leader, with an unmatched track record. The Spanish company is serving the wind sector since more than twenty years now, with projects executed in twenty different countries. GES is a benchmark in Latin America, having executed 25% of the total megawatts constructed in a mature and huge market like the Mexican, and 45% of the more recent Chilean market.

In a mature industry in which projects are becoming more complex and risky, with more and more countries open opportunities to the renewable energy; GES is still a trusted partner for the sector's companies, thanks to its capability to execute projects in countries with no renewable experience.
