Global Solar Council Launches Corporate Leadership Forum at Intersolar Europe

The Global Solar Council launched its  Corporate Leadership Forum at Intersolar Europe.  “The launch of the Global Solar Council Corporate Leadership Forum at Intersolar Europe is another important milestone for the industry,” said John Smirnow, Secretary-General.

“Our 17 Founding Corporate Members have been essential to the early success of the Global Solar Council,” said Mr. Smirnow. “In recognition of these companies’ support, we established the Corporate Leadership Forum—dedicated space within the GSC for corporations to provide advice and counsel and engage with national and international decision-makers.”

“Although this is our first in-person meeting, the Corporate Leadership Forum has been active for two months now and already provided key input on policy positions and next steps for the organization,” added Eitan Parnass, GSC Secretary and Board Member and Executive Director of the Green Energy Association of Israel. “At the suggestion of our corporate members, we’re going to organize trade missions and promote international best practices,” said Mr. Parnass.

“We recently set a goal of 10 million solar jobs by 2030, which will only be achieved strong, stable policy environments and massive investments across the entire solar supply chain. Our corporate members have made clear that they are up to the challenge,” said Bruce Douglas, GSC Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Solar Power Europe.
