Frank P. Longobardi Assumes Role as CEO of CohnReznick

Frank P. Longobardi has taken office as Chief Executive Officer of CohnReznick, one of the top accounting, tax, and advisory firms in the U.S. Longobardi, a valued, long-time CohnReznick executive, was elected by the Firm’s partnership on May 28, 2015. Former co-CEOs, Ken Baggett and Tom Marino, will step down pursuant to the terms of the partnership agreement. As previously announced, Baggett will begin his tenure as the Firm’s first Chairman of the Board. Marino remains a member of the Executive Board through May 2016, when he will retire.
 
Previously a member of the Executive Board and Regional Managing Partner – New England, Longobardi has served as a member of the Firm’s Go-to Market Committee, which oversaw the strategic planning for industry and service specialization when CohnReznick was formed in 2012 as a result of the J.H. Cohn and Reznick Group combination. Prior to that, Longobardi was responsible for all of J.H. Cohn’s industry groups, bringing standardization to the marketing, leadership development, and continuing education efforts of each practice. He joined the Firm in 2007 when his own firm, Haggett Longobardi, combined with J.H. Cohn, helping the latter organization to dramatically expand its presence in the Northeast.
 
Longobardi relocated to New York City this summer and now operates out of the Firm’s national headquarters in Manhattan. Later this year, the Firm will begin moving to its new, New York City headquarters at 1301 Avenue of the Americas. The new location represents a significant expansion and upgrade, which will feature state-of-the-art work spaces and collaborative meeting areas completely customized for the needs of the growing Firm. CohnReznick will move from its current 90,000 square-foot location at 1212 Avenue of the Americas in phases beginning at the end of 2015 with an expected completion by end of 2017. The new location will bring together 39 partners and more than 300 employees.

Longobardi and the Executive Board have appointed several partners to leadership positions within the Firm, which will be announced on Oct. 5, 2015.
 
An active member of the community, Longobardi currently serves on the Arthritis Foundation’s National Board of Directors and chairs its audit committee. He is also Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Conference for Community and Justice and a former board member of the St. Francis Hospital Foundation. Longobardi holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and is a board member of the UConn Foundation.
