ROTH China Solar Tour to be Held in Conjunction with SNEC Power Expo in Shanghai April 28-30

ROTH Capital Partners (ROTH), a full service investment bank focused on serving emerging growth companies and their investors, announced that it will host its 2nd Annual China Solar Tour in Shanghai on April 28-30, 2015. The event is held in conjunction with the SNEC Power Expo, one of the largest annual solar conferences/expos in the world.

This invitation-only event, which will be hosted by ROTH’s Cleantech and Industrial Growth Investment Banking Team, and Philip Shen, Senior Research Analyst, Cleantech, will provide an opportunity for solar power industry executives, policymakers and key institutional investors to meet and exchange ideas about issues and trends in the Solar and Cleantech industry.

According to Jesse Pichel, Managing Director, Cleantech Investment Banking, “Innovation and growth continue to fuel the global solar industry, and China is a key center piece of the solar story. The balance of global supply/demand remains more or less stable as capacity expansion this cycle has been more rationale. In addition to government policies, steady demand growth is being enabled and supported by the rise of yieldcos/IPPs and other financing innovation. All in, we continue to see a healthy capital markets environment supporting the solar industry ahead.”

Mr. Shen stated, “The SNEC Power Expo is the largest solar conference in the largest solar market in the world. We expect our booth tour at SNEC to provide investors with insight into what’s happening on the ground in China as well as perspective on what to expect ahead both in China and globally. We plan to explore a number of key investor themes on the tour; including (1) How realistic is China’s new 17.8GW solar installation target; (2) What are the latest expectations for China’s 2020 goal; (3) What’s next for downstream/yieldcos/IPP development in China, among others.”

This trip will include booth tours during the SNEC Power Expo, which will feature nearly 2,000 companies and exhibitors from over 90 countries, meetings with solar company executives at their facilities and a dinner featuring several solar expert speakers including: Andy Klump – Clean Energy Associates (China); Karl-Heinz Remmers – Solarpraxis (Germany); Dr. Hiroshi Matsukawa – RTS Corporation (Japan) and John Smirnow – Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA – U.S.). We believe this tour will enable participants to efficiently meet companies throughout the entire solar value chain–polysilicon, wafer, cell, module, downstream developers, private companies, government officials and other industry experts - in one of the most important solar markets in the world.

Clients interested in attending should contact their ROTH sales representative or e-mail [email protected]. To learn more or register for SNEC, please visit the event web site at - http://www.snec.org.cn/default.aspx?lang=en
