GasTOPS provides products and services to the wind industry to monitor gearbox health, using its flagship MetalSCAN product. MetalSCAN is an in-line, full-flow, oil debris sensor designed to provide condition assessment information necessary to effectively manage the risk associated with premature gearbox failures. MetalSCAN is available for installation on new turbines, installed by the OEM or easily retrofitted in the field by the maintainers. A comprehensive remote monitoring services package is also available. The output of the sensor can be integrated to interface to an existing wind turbine controller, SCADA, or as a standalone MetalSCAN Alarm Module with optional wireless communications.
