Advanced wind resource assessment systems

NRG Systems, manufacturer of measurement equipment and turbine optimization systems for the global renewable energy industry, announces the Grand Symphonie wind resource assessment system. With a flexible wireless design and up to 50 channels, the Grand Symphonie wind measurement system collects and transmits wind data to provide developers more information from their wind sites than that provided by traditional sensors and loggers. The Grand Symphonie’s integrated system of smart sensors and components offers data redundancy in the event of component damage, as well as scalability for large project sites and fleet management. Embedded GPS and accelerometers make installation precise and easy. Tower configuration, boom orientations, and sensor identification is automatically detected and transmitted. The Grand Symphonie system is available for use on the NRG Systems tubular tilt-up or lattice tower—or as an integrated system for use on another tower.
